From Raeann

My toilet paper project was inspired by Origami, not just in the elegant folds of the toilet paper, but in the underlying theme of the brand. I wanted to emulate the origins of origami, which was that the wealthy upper class and nobility in Japan brought about the popularity of origami. Origami was thought of as this symbol of wealth, culture, and art. While most symbols like this are kept primarily to the upper class, origami could not be contained there. Because of its simplicity and because it didn't require many resources to make, even those without wealth could create and enjoy origami, and it became a household item. I thought this had a lot of similarities with toilet paper. And so I wanted my brand to have an air of wealth and creativity, but yet be accessible because at the end of the day, toilet paper is one of the most common and universal household items there is.

While it's organic and warm enough to be approachable, Origami still maintains a sophisticated look. It includes art and creativity through its folds and fun patterns, and appreciates some of the beautiful artistic themes that have been popular in Japan, since that is the country that made origami so well known. I hope it lives up to its slogan, which is 'luxury, simply made.'
